The private camera
Private. Discreet. Yours.
A beautiful camera for the moments that are just yours. Everything you capture stays inside Velour: never your camera roll, never iCloud.
Download on the App StoreFree to download. Velour Premium is optional.
Everything you'd expect from a great camera, with privacy built into every part of it.
Photo and video with flash, lenses and zoom, tap to focus, a timer, a grid and 4K video.
Your library lives only on your iPhone, encrypted while it's locked. Never in Photos, iCloud or backups.
Open with Face ID or Touch ID, or a passcode just for Velour. Lock photos, videos and albums too.
Remove the library button and Velour looks like an ordinary camera. A secret tap opens it.
A second passcode opens a harmless decoy library, so your real one stays out of sight.
Subtle app icons, nine elegant themes, and a library that hides itself in the app switcher.

In short: Velour doesn't collect, store or share any of your personal data. Your photos, videos and settings stay on your iPhone. We have no servers, no accounts, no analytics and no advertising.
Velour ("the app", "we", "us") is a private camera app for iPhone, published by Chris Barker. This policy explains how the app handles information. It applies to the Velour app and this website.
None. Velour does not collect personal information. We don't operate servers that receive your data, we don't require an account or sign-in, and the app contains no analytics, tracking, crash-reporting or advertising software.
If you set an app passcode or decoy passcode, only a secure, one-way encoded version is stored in your device's Keychain. It never leaves your device and isn't synced to iCloud Keychain. Face ID and Touch ID are handled entirely by iOS; Velour never has access to your biometric data.
You can change these permissions at any time in your iPhone's Settings.
Velour only shares or saves a photo or video outside the app when you choose to, using Save to Photos or Share. Once a copy leaves Velour, it's handled by the app or service you send it to, under their own privacy terms.
If you create a backup, Velour encrypts your library with a password you choose and saves one file to the location you pick, such as iCloud Drive or Files. We never receive your backup or your password, and we can't open or recover it for you.
Velour Premium subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We don't receive your payment details. Apple shares only what's needed to confirm your purchase, which the app checks on your device. Apple's handling of your information is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Velour is not directed at children and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Because everything is stored on your device, you're always in control. Delete individual items in the app, use Delete All Photos and Videos in Settings, or delete the app to remove everything it stores.
If we change how Velour handles information, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
